It all was a big surprise for the Filipina actress Kris Bernal. She was arranging for the birthday party of her boyfriend who is not from the entertainment industry. Little did she know that he would surprise her on the occasion with an engagement ring.
Kris Bernal – the marriage proposal
The actress from the Philippines, Kris Bernal was looking after all the arrangements for the birthday bash for her boyfriend Perry Choi who is a businessman. The special birthday celebrations were at a restaurant in Quezon City on 6 February 2020.
And Perry instead surprised her by getting down on one knee. This adorable moment for the couple was captured in-camera by Nice Print Photography. They shared the photos on their social media platforms and captioned the series of pictures thus:
“So this just happened.”
The couple’s relationship
Actress Kris and Perry are dating now for over three years. They went public on their relationship in 2017. They make a great couple and the courtship period has been a rather smooth and loving one. In January 2020, Kris, 30 had posted a lovely message on her social media where she thanked her boyfriend for his immense love. She had talked of his ‘endlessly, honestly, constantly, completely, with all [his] heart, mind, and being’. The entire message read:
“I want to thank you for the endless things you do for me and for everything that you are, (Perry Choi). For loving me endlessly, honestly, constantly, completely, with all your heart, mind, and being!”
“I want to thank you for enduring the emotional roller coaster of my 2019. For being always there for me,”
She further wrote:
“Success is never measured by pesos and cents, Success is what you do to others with what you have,”
“Happy 2020, my love! This new year may we be the bestest versions of ourselves and live in a way that is more pleasing to God!”
Perry is a chef and a former overseas Filipino worker who had also worked in Singapore.
About Kris Bernal’s hacked account
In September 2019, the social media accounts of Kris were hacked. She told the GMA network in an interview on 25 September 2019 that her Instagram, Twitter, and personal email got hacked after she accessed a link in a message to her.

Kris narrated that she got a message stating that she had committed copyright infringement on Instagram. She was led to a link and told to click it. The next page asked her account details including her email id and password which she keyed in. And her social media and personal email were hacked. The hackers used to use it between 2 am and 5 am when she would be sleeping.
Fearing worse consequences, and on the advice of her boyfriend, Kris informed her fans via a vlog that her account was hacked. It took her at least three attempts before she could gain control of her Instagram. Her Twitter and email took longer to be removed from the hackers’ clutches.
