She was born on August 2, 1964, in Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina. She was born to John Parker and Caroline Louise Morelli Parker. Her birth sign is Leo. Similarly, Parker made her Broadway debut in Prelude to a Kiss in 1990, earning a Tony Award nomination for her portrayal of Rita, a young bartender whose spirit transfers into the body of an old man, much to the dismay of her new husband (played by Timothy Hutton).
In addition, Parker went on to star in a variety of major Hollywood films, including The Client (1994), a thriller starring Susan Sarandon and Tommy Lee Jones; Woody Allen’s comedy Bullets over Broadway (1994); Boys on the Side (1995), in which she played an AIDS victim; and The Portrait of a Lady (1996), a remake of Henry James’ novel starring Nicole Kidman and John Malkovich.
Furthermore, Parker continued to act in films such as The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007), in which she played the wife of Jesse James (Brad Pitt); The Spiderwick Chronicles (2008), a children’s adventure film; and Howl (2010).
